CUSTOMER OF THE WEEK!

Ahh, so many weeks we've chosen one or more lovely customers to spotlight here.... we've just been reminiscing and we've decided that, this week, we're going to say THANK YOU to all of our previous choices for CUSTOMER OF THE WEEK!

These lovely faces show how great it is to take a chance on a RED frame or a BLUE frame! They represent the whimsical side of Anne et Valentin frames, the fantastic structure of ic! berlin frames, and the intriguing angles of Theo frames. These faces are what make Francis Klein glasses sparkle, they are what make Frost frames come alive and they show why Lafont is a good and reliable friend when it comes to quality eyewear. We are so over the moon about all of the awesome frames in the store right now that we are celebrating by naming TWO Customers of the Week!

First, we want to highlight CARYN WEINER! Caryn chose this beautiful Anne et Valentin frame in red and tortoise. We love the way Anne et Valentin frames are so bright and fun! Check 'em out!

Now, check out these sparkly BLUE Francis Klein frames on Caitlin Cronin. Caitlin has been a customer of Eye Spy for a while, so when we found out she was on her way in to the store to check out new frames, we knew before she even walked in the door that this Francis Klein frame was the frame for her. We love when we are able to picture a longtime customer and the frame that would be a perfect new look. Caitlin is moving to Japan soon, good luck Caitlin! Winter Wonderland!

At Eye Spy, we love winter!

OK, we don't love the low temperatures or the slushy, wet snow, or the delayed buses and head colds.

We DO love hot chocolate that somehow tastes sooo much better when it's cold outside!
And we really love cozy sweaters and scarves.

And wow-oh-wow, do we love to decorate the store and make it a Winter Wonderland inside and out!

Inside, we have a new eyewear line, Claire Goldsmith, direct from jolly old England. We also have a TON of new Eyebobs readers and bucketloads of new Theo frames, Anne et Valentin frames, Francis Klein frames, and Lafont frames.

Outside, we've put up sparkling lights in the window so that, even when it snows, you'll be able to find Eye Spy's shining lights on Lincoln Ave.

Doesn't it just look so warm and cozy in there?

We put up our favorite window decorations, included a section for Christmas with little elves an ornaments and a Chanukah section with a menorah handmade by our own Queen of Specs!

We've made the store a cozy and warm place to hang out and get out of the cold while you're looking for new glasses to go with your winter wardrobe.

Check it out! We have a new CUSTOMER OF THE WEEK! This week, we chose ERIC EVERSON because these chrome ic! berlin frames look so great on him!

Eric stopped in to the store a few times to make sure he chose the *perfect* frame. With some help from Mary R, he chose the Arnaud frame by ic! berlin. But Eric wasn't the only one who became an Eye Spy customer, his wife and son both got new sunglasses!

There's some truth to the saying "good things come to those who wait."

Our CUSTOMER OF THE WEEK this week will be joining the Eye Spy family real soon, well, kind of... MATTHEW SIEFFERT is engaged to the lovely Miss Alex Blunt, a longtime customer of Eye Spy!

Matthew and Alex came in to the store last winter and tried on some awesome frames. Matthew kept these LAFONT frames in the back of his mind and as the wedding day got closer and closer, he found it was time to update his look before the big day!

Catherine Webb and Sara Murphy came in to look at glasses together and each found an adorable frame to suit their energetic personalities! Catherine found a classic Francis Klein frame with rhinestones and a detail on the temples (sides) of the frame that is simply to. die. for.

CUSTOMER OF THE WEEK!

This week it's all in the family with our CUSTOMER OF THE WEEK, Lael Johnson! In May, his wife, Eugenie, was named our Customer of the week for her amazing luck in finding a wonderful pair of Francis Klein sunglasses on the very day they arrived in the store.

Lael had similar luck a couple of years ago with a pair of IC Berlin glasses. The IC Berlin brand has been good to Lael and when he came in to the store for a new eye exam, he knew he wanted to stick with the durable and stylin' IC Berlin frames!

Of course, being a man of impeccable taste (he is married to Eugenie after all) Lael chose one of the newest and, if I do say so myself, awesomest IC Berlin frames in the store.

Lucky guy.

Vintage shapes are very much "in" right now and it's fun to look at all of these styles. But buying actual vintage frames creates the risk of breakage when putting prescription lenses in the frame.

That's why I'm so very delighted to have lines like Francis Klein and Lafont bringing back the vintage shapes. And who would I be to forget my lovely Theo, they've been taking inspiration from these vintage geek shapes and re-making them with titanium in bright colors!

Francis Klein Trunk Show this weekend!

Whoo! We received our new Francis Klein frames today! 11 beautiful, bejeweled frames joined the Eye Spy family this afternoon and we couldn't wait to try them on:

I really wanted to be like Scrooge McDuck and fill a room with Francis Kleins and just swim around in them all. day. long.

We also met the new American representative for Francis Klein, she brought their new frames into the store for us to ooh and aah over. We'll have these frames in-store through Sunday, so if you want to try out some of the newest of the new Francis Kleins, stop by for an impromptu
