One of my favorite names in the whole world is Doris. Honest. I mean, I can't think of a single Doris who wasn't/isn't totally awesome. Think about it: Doris Day, Doris Lessing, and Doris White, our CUSTOMER OF THE WEEK!

It was so hard to choose this week's CUSTOMER OF THE WEEK!, but as we were going through pictures, the choice became clear... CINDI SIMPSON looks so fabulous in her new Francis Klein frames that we knew we had to give her the star treatment on this blog!

There's a new lady in town...

Last week, we welcomed a new gal to the shop, CLAIRE GOLDSMITH, a new eyewear line out of England! We ordered 18 new frames from the inaugural Claire Goldsmith collection and, Blimey! They sure are sassy!

i just got back from the eyewear trade show in Vegas and boy did i have a great time walking the strip;-) actually, i had the best time picking out new glasses for eye spy..of course! vintage styles are still going strong, along with translucent colors in pinks, beige and blue. here is a sneak peek of the new Anne et Valentin frames that are on their way....

Vintage shapes are very much "in" right now and it's fun to look at all of these styles. But buying actual vintage frames creates the risk of breakage when putting prescription lenses in the frame.

That's why I'm so very delighted to have lines like Francis Klein and Lafont bringing back the vintage shapes. And who would I be to forget my lovely Theo, they've been taking inspiration from these vintage geek shapes and re-making them with titanium in bright colors!
