Drumroll please, for our new Customer of the Week: Karen!!!!
Oh, Karen. Where to begin with Karen. She is a free spirit and quite the character. But she and our Specs Wrangler, Patsy, are sort of kindred spirits. So it was easy for the two of them to vibe and find some specs that were suitable for Karen’s style and flair.
Karen has a ton of Eye Spy specs, but she recently fell in love with these Gentle Monster “Furrow” sunnies. She’s a self proclaimed hippie chick, so these John Lennon-esque round sunglasses are PERFECT for her boho summertime look.
Oh and did I mention Karen is a local artist who does beatuful, sculptures and mosaics!? She’s also the Founder and Executive Director at The Chicago Mosaic School!! Click the link to get more info on the school and the classes they offer. (Trust us…Karen’s the kind of teacher you wanna have.)

Amy came looking for something cute and fresh, but not too over the top. Ya know, that look where it seems like you just effortlessly threw something together even though you actually thought it out and carefully executed it? That’s exactly what these Anne et Valentin “Octet” frames in amethyst with mint green temples accomplish. Am I right?! These are the fourth pair of Anne et Valentin frames that Amy’s added to her roster, and they’re definitely a home run!

So excited to introduce you all to the newest member of our Customer of the Week club: Kim!
Kim is the definition of “Go BIG, or GO HOME”, when it comes to buying glasses. She came to us as an eyeglass virgin. Armed only with her new Rx, she hadn’t the faintest idea of what shape she was looking for…but she knew she wanted turquoise. She quickly took a liking to the cat eyes and the round frame shape. There were so many frames that looked great on Kim … and when all was said and done, she couldn’t narrow it down any further; so the solution was to buy her top 3 favorites! Here, Kim is sporting her “a-dork-able” salmon-colored Gentle Monster “Fafala” frame.
In addition to her Gentle Monster frames, Kim also chose the Caroline Abram “Satyr” frame in turquoise and purple (which by the way she snagged in the nick of time, because this color is now discontinued!)…
And finally, the Caroline Abram “Elsa” frame, which she turned into sunglasses. Not bad, considering we also give an awesome discount to those who purchase multiple pairs at once. Cheers, Kim! We hope you’re loving your new frame trifecta!

Hey there all you Eye Spy-ers and funky eyewear wearers! We’d like to introduce you to a first time customer and our newest Customer of the Week: Jaime!!
Adorable Jaime came in to our shop with dreams of her perfect frame. When we asked what exactly it was that she’d been dreaming of, she said she specifically wanted an oversized frame; either red or hot pink. It was almost TOO easy. We opened the Caroline Abram case, and there it was: the perfect frame. It was like Caroline Abram made this red and magenta “Flore” frame just for Miss Jaime! She tried them on…and that was pretty much it. Love at first sight! And to make matters even sweeter, her glasses came back from the lab just in time for her birthday!
So, Happy Birthday Jaime!! We hope you and your specs are very happy together. <3

Look how adorble Anne is in her new Theo Pourbus frames! Anne was referred to us by a random person on the street who was wearing awesome specs from…you guessed it: Eye Spy Optical! Ann was very happy that she listened to the kindness and suggestion of a stranger for her first pair of glasses….and as she put it so aptly, “If you have to wear glasses, they might as well have some pop.” Agreed. Hey all you optical enthusiasts! It’s that time again. We must pay homage to our new Customer of the Week: Alison!!
Alison came in thinking she wanted the exact same style frame she already had ; a tortoise/green round plastic frame that bordered on the conservative side; a reliable companion since she had long since left beind hard contacts. But with the finesse and guidance of our new optician, Siobhan, Allison was able to expand her mind.
Suddenly, her eyes fell upon these turquoise Theo “James” frames. She jokingly tried them on thinking: “Oh these will look absolutely ridicuously on me” …but was immediatly posessed by the magic of these beatiful specs. Obviously this was a match made in heaven! We’re SO glad that Alison AND her husband love these frames as much as we do!

Greetings Eye Spyers!!
We have a new Customer of the Week to introduce!
She goes by the name of SHEILA!!
Sheila first chose these beautiful turquoise and red Francis Klein “Risk” frames with red and silver stones and decor. We LOVE what that beautiful blue frame front does for those pretty peepers!! And we had this color combo made just for us…so Sheila is the only lady in world with this frame:-) How cool.
Sheila also couldn’t walk away from these pink and gray gradiant Rapp “Jane” frames, so she got both! We couldn’t be happier that these unique frames found a perfect home, and that Sheila followed out favorite motto: “If you can’t pick one…pick both!”

Check out our new Customer of the Week: JOHN!!
John is a pretty laid back guy. He’s also apparently a self proclaimed “THEO snob.” (According to our research, he’s the owner of 3 pairs of these Belgian beauties.)
So it was no surprise to us when he chose these hot THEO Dillinger’s in electric blue to adorn that wonderfully bearded face! These THEO’s are from their newest Spring 2014 collection, so we had to special order these titanium from Belgium. They are so exclusive, we don’t even have them in the store yet! THEO definitely loves you, John…and we do too!
