Sonia is our sassy new optician here at Eye Spy. We are super excited about the Get-It Done-Diva. She has 4 years of optical experience and she looks fantastic in these Francis Klein specs.
Here is a little more about our new star:
Why do you like being an optician?
- I love to put people in the dopest glasses that exist.
What catches your lil” eye at Eye Spy?
- We have glasses for the unique individuals, not the mainstream frames that large chains carry.
What is something most people don’t know about you?
- I have an obsession with pigs, I even have pig pajamas … and underwear =)
What is your celebrity crush?
- Common.
How do you feel about stray cats?
- Funny you should ask, but I just took in a stray cat! My son named her Chicago and she is spotted like a cow!
What is your favorite food?
- Buffalo wings, by a long shot.

Our Customer of the Week is BETH!!!
We adore the deep blue Lafont frames on Beth, the hot pink splashes of color bring out the sparkle in her eyes. The texture engraved in the temples gives the frame a unique personality and the fabulous hat completes Beth’s look!
Luckily, we suggested adding Anti-reflective coating to her lenses to keep the focus on Beth. Anti-reflective coating is applied to the surface of lenses to reduce glare, so the lenses look like they are barely even there=) The benefits are particularly noticeable when driving at night and when working on computers…
Congrats BETH, you are our Customer of the Week!!!

Our
Customer of the Week is
DANA!!!
We love the chocolate brown Lafont frames on Dana, the pink accents really make them pop! This pair is sophisticated with angles that give them a modern twist. They are made of titanium which makes them super strong with half of the weight.
Lafont’s fabulous mix of colors and patterns can also be seen in Dana’s second pair. The sunglasses get Dana ready for a summer of great Chicago weather (fingers crossed), and really give her a glow! These lenses are polarized to help eliminate glare and give Dana a clearer view of her surroundings.
Congrats DANA, you are our Customer of the Week!!!

Hello, everyone…this is Patsy, the Specs Wrangler! I am so excited to be taking over the reigns from Mary, so here it goes….

Look at these sassy Ray-Bans Kid’s sunglasses we got in this morning! Protect your kids from harmful UV-A and UV-B in style. Adorable…and functional. As we like to say, sunglasses are sunscreen for the eyes. For a sporty look, we also carry Julbo sunglasses for babies and kids
Did you know that more light enters children’s eyes than adult’s eyes? As we age, the lens of our eye gets cloudy….which blocks out the light. So, it makes sense that kids have very clear lenses and all of the light passes through them and can do a lot of damage to the retina:-( In addition, most kids spend a *ton* more time outside than adults. By the time kids are 18 years old, they will have been exposed to 80% of their lifetime UV exposure! And while we are on the subject, it is also important to wear sunglasses when it is cloudy outside…because, as we all know, UV rays travel through clouds.
This is why it is vital to have a pair of trusty kid’s sunglasses that your son or daughter loves and will wear all the time…..and s/he can be like mommy and daddy;-)
