Lately it seems we have people traveling from all over to get to us! This week, our customer of the week came all the way from North Carolina! Allow us to introduce Christopher. Mom’s the Word! Without our mamas, we would be lost….so, we are having a Mama’s Day Specs and Sunglasses Show on Saturday, May 11th from 11-5pm! Believe us, we appreciate your mom almost as much as you do…and in order to show it, we are having a big ol’ party complete with FREE massages, mimosas and munchies!
Along with all of that goodness, we will also have the entire collection of Caroline Abram and Oliver Goldsmith in-house! Each of these lines have a wonderful spectrum of shapes and colors.

Attention all Claire Goldsmith fans!! We love Claire as much as all of you, so we’re sad to say we’ve sold the very last CG frame in the store. And since we’re always on the hunt for funky new frames, we’ve decided to say goodbye to one line and HELLO to a new one. We’ll be introducing a RES/REI, a totally awesome, sleek, new line from Italy within the next few days.
HOWEVER…

…Claire Goldsmith frames will still be available via special order. So if you just HAVE to own one of her gorgeous frames, and you just happen to stumble upon one that you love, we’re more than happy to place an order for you! In addition to that, our Oliver Goldsmith sunglass line (part of the CG line) is still available in store as well.
Also, Saturday, May 11th is our Oliver Goldsmith and Caroline Abram Trunk Show, so we’ll have plenty of new sunglasses and frames to check out!! See you soon!

Introducing our Customer of the Week: Penny!
Penny has definitely earned COTW with this fabulous photo, sporting these awesome Theo James 6 frames. In a world full of squares, she is definitely rocking the round specs like a pro!
As you can tell from Penny’s yellow parka, she braved the floods and rain last Thursday to pick up her new glasses. She told us that she loves them so much that she does not want to take them off…even when she goes to sleep!! Now *that* is a glowing review:-)
The James series is a series of frames that Theo’s designer James Van Vossel releases twice a year….and they all have unusual bridges! James noticed that the nosepiece is often quite visible, and he prefers a pure form, without ‘extra weight’. He wanted to design a pair of glasses with integrated nose pads, so without adding anything to the frame. James went to work in his atelier and by trial and error he found a way. Out of one thin metal plate he cut a shape in which he already provided a nosepiece. He then bent the nosepiece backwards. By doing so, there is no frame between the lens and the nose….and you get a design that misses a ‘corner’. While he was experimenting he made a round model, James 6, and a more angular shaped frame, James 5.

Penny has quite the collection of spectacular eyewear from Eye Spy. Then again its hard NOT to stay trendy when the Queen of Specs herself is part of your family!

Presenting our Beautiful Customer of the week Querida…in her new sassy-pants Francis Klein Ginga frames!
Querida came in on a whim wanting frames that are as sassy as she is. Well, we sure did find them! We had a tough call between two frames but these ones really are perfect for her. Querida’s style and flair inspired our Specs Wrangler to get an asymmetrical haircut as well! Thanks for being so awesome Querida and being our sassy customer of the week!

Well, sometimes Patsy and Sara wear birds in their hair. Yup, I said it: BIRDS!!!
Patsy’s is complete with an egg and a nest, Sara’s just has a blue bird in her nest.
These beauties have been hand-crafted by our very own Design Maven, Sara. Her line is called Little Blue Bay . Sara focuses on sustainability and operates under the belief that each item is crafted with love & care. She uses found, up-cycled & vintage pieces to make lovely new accessories that become a part of your story.
Sara’s headbands are available at Eye Spy! And no, they don’t all have birds.

It’s that time again. Yup, you guessed it…Customer of the Week time! Allow us to introduce Chris….a.k.a Blitz Linster from the Polkaholics!! He is pretty hilarious, and has been a customer of ours since 2009.

Chris came in looking for a change and boy o’ boy did he get one! Chris went from a simple silver stainless steel IC Berlin frame to this handsome Theo Capone frame.

Allow us to introduce Tracee, our beautiful customer of the week!
As a close friend of our Opticianista, Tracee has visited Eye Spy Optical many, many, many times….and every time she stops in to say hi, she tries on our simply spectacular specs. Of course. How can anyone resist? After almost going for a raspberry-colored pair of titanium Theos, Tracee changed course and went for these leopard-print Francis Klein Wing frames. She looks pretty darn sexy in these cat-eyes….but who wouldn’t?!
Tracee is quite the “jill of all trades” ranging from a killer hair dresser, makeup artist to a awesome painter. Are you curious what her work looks like? (Come on, you know you are.) Check it out here.
