So, you might be thinking that Elspeth is our customer of the week because she bought three pairs of spectacular specs from Eye Spy, but you would be wrong. She is customer of the week because she looks amazing and totally different in all three pairs!!
Sure enough every time Elspeth comes to find new frames, the Specs Wrangler just happens to be here! It’s like magic…or something close to it. They share their love of luscious leather boots and, of course, delectable glasses! After a process of elimination they settled on these three beauties. First up, we’ve got a powder blue Niloca Clockwork frame. The Specs Wrangler loved these so much, she ordered a pair for herself! Second on the dream series, she’s got an Anne et Valentin Modern Love! Lastly, Elspeth patiently waited for Rigards to come in, a brand new line to Eye Spy! Rigards is made from sustainably harvested buffalo horn! What?!
Each frame fits her like a dream. Hilariously, Patsy, the Specs Wrangler, also fits all the same frames!!!! Thanks for being perfectly lovely to work with Elspeth! You are a wonderful customer of the week!

Congrats to Laura….again!
Although Laura was a Customer of the Week in February of 2013, we could not pass up snapping a shot of her in her new Thierry Lasry cat-eye sunglasses…and fabulous kitty-cat bag, complete with sticking-up ears!!
The Thierry Lasry sunnies have abalone shell accents on either side. The frame is called Slutty, but we are hoping Laura knows how to control herself;-)
While Laura was trying to decide whether or not these sunglasses would fit into her budget, we made a business proposal to her: create an illustration for us to use with our Rainbow Scavenger Hunt. She accepted….and got the sunnies!

Meet Allison…our Customer of the week!
Allison fell head over heels in love with this Francis Klein Ginga frame…
Allison came in looking for a something different, and boy did we find it. She and the Design Maven knew this was the one. Allison put it on and practically started glowing! She was on a hunt for either a purple or a tortoise frame; They managed to find the best of both worlds, as this frame starts out purple and fades to tortoise!
Allison you are a total beauty in this frame, and in general. If we were in the E/R and you were our doc, it would make our day having you show up at our bedside wearing this frame! Thanks for being our Customer of the Week!!!

Congrats to Phyllis!!!
Phyllis has been coming to Eye Spy for years and years. Every time she buys a pair, she always gets so many compliments…or at least, that is what she tells us;-) When she saw this pair of Anne et Valentin frames, she was immediately drawn to it. This pair was part of a limited edition series of Anne et Valentin sunglasses. Only 25 sets were made for the whole wide world! (They are all gone, except for one lonely pair on our shelf!)
Originally, her green glasses were sunglasses, as are many of Phyllis’ previous pairs. Instead, we turned it into an everyday pair with XTRActive Transition lenses. Why are XTRActive Transitions different from the good ole Transitions that we normally use?

Welcome back to the same bat channel and bat place! Allow us to introduce Todd, who was actually one of the first people that the Design Maven helped when she started at ye ole Eye Spy.
Todd came in looking for something different and fun. His first pair of Eye Spy frames was an RVS frame in a matte black and speckled tortoise. He loved them so much that he added a second pair of Anni Shades that, sadly, bounced out of his bike bag. He was looking to replace his beloved lost frames. (Hopefully someone found them that really needed them, right?)
Todd found this beautiful Anni Shades Glimpse frame with a secret aqua accent…
Todd is really lovin’ his new frames and hopefully these will *not* bounce out of his bike bag. Below is his first pair of Eye Spy glasses. We did notice that he somehow scratched his lenses, and replaced them under his scratch warranty!
Thanks for being so much fun to work with Todd and such a good sport on one of the Design Maven’s first days!!! (Ya know, back a few years ago.) And…if you know a student at New Trier High School, they might recognized Todd as a fabulous history teacher! Have a great school year everyone and congrats to Todd for being Customer of the Week!!

It’s that time again, THURSDAY!!! Which, also happens to be Customer of the Week day! Meet Brooke, who once upon a time lived in Chicago, and then moved to DC, then traveled back to Chi-town to shop for glasses. Brooke tried and tried again to find glasses in DC but nothing lived up to Eye Spy. So back to Eye Spy it was for Brooke. After spending some time with the Specs Wrangler she settled on Caroline Abram. Brooke scooped up two frames, although we only got a picture in one frame.
Brooke acutally insited a photo with the Queen of Specs. She even talked her hubby into getting a pair of glasses, who since he had never been here he got a referral discount! Brooke you look like a total babe in your new Caroline Abram frames! Thanks for the travels and tons of fun! We will see you when you want new frames!

It’s that time again folks, customer of the week time that is. Allow us to introduce Beth, delcared her self the orginal the Pink Lady. Beth tried to find glasses at a shop that shall not be named (aka the Voltermort of Glasses Shops, and yes we did just say that.) She quickly realized that her personailty was just too much for that store. Beth’s lovely daughter Ruth brought her into Eye Spy, turning her over to the thoughtful hands of the Design Maven.
Beth and the Design Maven had a blast picking out these beautiful Francis Klein Bisou frames in sparkly leopard. Not only does she look awesome, she looks like she might teach you to bake or maybe just kick you to the curb, like any Pink Lady would.

It’s Customer of the Week time again! Allow us to introduce you to our newest Eye Spy babe, CHARLENE! CHARLENE, is a friend of our book keeper Karla. Karla brought Charlene in and it was love at first sight with these Thierry Lasry Orgasmy frames!

Our customer of the week traveled by bubble all the way from Oz…meet Glenda! While she is not covered in pink, this sweet lady has some serious style up her sleeve, and now on her face! Glenda snuck in mere minutes before we closed. Her and Adrienne bonded over their love of this Theo Cinquante+8 frame. (Adrienne dreams of this frame in the cerulean blue color.)
Glenda’s love of this frame hit her like a house, and they sure are dreamy on her. Thanks for being our beautiful Customer of the week Glenda!
