We have noticed a trend over the past 15 years here at Eye Spy. People LOVE their Theo Eyewear. The frames are handmade in Belgium and have style of their own.
Some of our customers love their Theo’s so much, they keep them for over 8 eight years! Other customers love their Theo’s so much that they purchase one or two new pairs per year:-)
Either way, we are glad that they endure the test of time…and our cutomers have glasses that they love soooo much.

Introducing our lovely Customer of the Week… Anne!
Look how adorble Anne is in her new Theo Pourbus frames! Anne was referred to us by a random person on the street who was wearing awesome specs from…you guessed it: Eye Spy Optical! (note: she got referral discount!) Ann was very happy that she listened to the kindness and suggestion of a stranger for her first pair of glasses….and as she put it so aptly, “If you have to wear glasses, they might as well have some pop.” Agreed. Check out our new Customer of the Week: JOHN!!
John is a pretty laid back guy. He’s also apparently a self proclaimed “THEO snob.” (According to our research, he’s the owner of 3 pairs of these Belgian beauties.)
So it was no surprise to us when he chose these hot THEO Dillinger’s in electric blue to adorn that wonderfully bearded face! These THEO’s are from their newest Spring 2014 collection, so we had to special order these titanium from Belgium. They are so exclusive, we don’t even have them in the store yet! THEO definitely loves you, John…and we do too!

Our favorite Aussie, Lyn, is one smart cookie! She knows how bright it can get in the winter with all the snow and glare!! So…she had to add these beautiful Oliver Goldsmith Hex sunnies to her collection.

Angela! Oh Angela, how we love you…and your sister’s great taste in glasses!
Angela fell in love with these Theo Soixante-Deux frames….and had to have this beautiful tortoise and purple color, so we special ordered it for her:-) Theo frames are available in at least 8 different colors…and some frames are available in 20 different colors!! OMG.
Usually, we do not have all 8 colors in-store….
BUT, this Saturday the 16th, we are having a trunk show with every shape AND every color in the Theo collection!! Don’t faint…just come in and try-on everything!
Angela’s sister, Ann, was our customer of the week this summer in her Francis Klein frames:-)

All eyes should be on our new Customer of the Week: Lillian!
Lillian is a HUGE fan of our Theo frames, and she’s just added a new one to her collection. These fuschia and orange Theo Huitante+Quatre are sure to get anyone’s attention.
In fact, Lillian’s other Theo frames, from the Theo Eyewitness series, are what caught Adrienne’s eye on the set of “Divergent“, the YA book-turned-movie that just filmed here in Chicago. Our own Optical Chanteuse was cast in a featured role in the film and Lillian was part of the film’s makeup team! Adrienne noticed her frames on set and instantly knew she HAD to be an Eye Spy customer.

Chris and Amanda are city dwellers and long-time friends with one thing in common; their many passions and talents don’t fit neatly inside “the box”. On July 16th, they took a break from their 9-5s and made a 12-day-long road trip across the country.
Their goal on this journey was to step outside of the box, meet new people, see the countryside, capture beautiful images, and explore the many facets of themselves. This is where they documented their journey as artists, philosophers, travelers, and lovers of people. This is where they captured the road.
