Happy Day to Customer of the Week…Phyllis!!!
Phyllis was getting too much attention in her limited edition kelly green Anne Et Valentin Sagan sunglass-turned-optical frame – not the WORST problem to have – so she came in to find something a little more understated…perhaps even “boring.” Our Queen of Specs, Alissa, took on the task and did her best to help out Phyllis by selecting an elegant Move frame by Theo in a soft blue that really complements Phyllis’ eyes and skin.
Unfortunately, Alissa’s attempt at choosing a boring frame wasn’t as successful as she thought, because Phyllis called us up the other day to tell us that she has been getting stopped on the street because of her newest frames too! People just won’t leave her alone! The nerve!
We love the new frames and think she looks amazing. If you want to go tell Phyllis how much you LOVE her glasses, you can find her being a rock star realtor at Baird & Warner, volunteering at PAWS or walking her three rescue dogs….
Next time Alissa will just have to try a little harder…or Phyllis just needs to get used to being a rock star

We are putting the final touches on our plans for the Anne et Valentin trunk show! Here’s what’s going on:
Obviously, we will have all of the Anne et Valentin collection here!! Every single, perfectly-crafted frame in all of their glorious colors. Oh, and did we mention just how dreamy their sunglasses are for this season?! Le Sigh…
We have got some other delectable things lined up for you! We will have an assortment of delicious savory hand pies from Pleasant House Bakery ! If you haven’t had one of these delicious pies from this Beverly bakery, then get your cute face in here and chow down on Thursday, May 7th! When you are finished with the savories, move on to our sweets from Flirty Cupcakes, which will surely give you the energy to pick out the dreamiest glasses in town…
We will have crafted our own cocktails for the event as well, so after being fed and watered, you can pick out your favorite pairs from the lovely Anne et Valentin collection. And be sure to snag a pair of shades! After this winter, we all need to be outside as much as possible…so, that means we need sunglasses for all the margaritas we will be having on patios!

Check out our customer of the week, Walker! He is looking very handsome in his new RES/REI Michelangelo frames, and his new haircut! Previously, Walker owned a pair of chunky plastic tortoise frames from Eye Spy. While he looks very handsome in his other frames, it was time to update his prescription…and his look! He requested a more subtle frame this time around…and we obliged:-)
Walker, not to be confused with Walker- Texas Ranger, is such a sweet dude and these frames perfectly complement his aesthetic. A slight nerd flair with a dash of modern sleekness. These handmade titanium frames feel as good as they look!
In addition to being a great eyewear model, Walker Thisted is a local artist, working in photography and painting…and has a ton of websites to showcase his projects. Recently, he has adopted the pseudonym: Theo Wit. Take a peek at his artwork here.

Introducing our Customer of the Week: Penny!
Penny has definitely earned COTW with this fabulous photo, sporting these awesome Theo James 6 frames. In a world full of squares, she is definitely rocking the round specs like a pro!
As you can tell from Penny’s yellow parka, she braved the floods and rain last Thursday to pick up her new glasses. She told us that she loves them so much that she does not want to take them off…even when she goes to sleep!! Now *that* is a glowing review:-)
The James series is a series of frames that Theo’s designer James Van Vossel releases twice a year….and they all have unusual bridges! James noticed that the nosepiece is often quite visible, and he prefers a pure form, without ‘extra weight’. He wanted to design a pair of glasses with integrated nose pads, so without adding anything to the frame. James went to work in his atelier and by trial and error he found a way. Out of one thin metal plate he cut a shape in which he already provided a nosepiece. He then bent the nosepiece backwards. By doing so, there is no frame between the lens and the nose….and you get a design that misses a ‘corner’. While he was experimenting he made a round model, James 6, and a more angular shaped frame, James 5.

Our Customer of the Week is Chris!
The Opticianista did a great job helping Chris pick out some new frames. He fell in love with both pairs of glasses and couldn’t choose, so he bought both! The Lafont frames below are slightly on the conservative side…
while the Anne et Valentin’s are a little more on the wild side. We love that they are so dramatically different, but still both look amazing on Chris.
